“On the Internet, everybody knows you’re a dog”
Chris Mattheisen
With the advent of Web 2.0 technology and its imaginative uses, the Web has gone from being an extension of the printed page to being a living, breathing animal which has jumped quickly off the computer screen into the physical “meatspace” world. It needs care and feeding, and above all else broadband access! The convergence of interactive social networks and communities, ubiquitous, truly broadband access, and widespread, inexpensive mass market sensory technologies such as cameras, videos, recording, accelerometers, GPS - to name just a few, has reached a point where we can now truly talk about a world where everything and everybody is now connected with everybody and everything else. This will very rapidly enable new business models, which companies like Magyar Telekom will play a key role in driving. The Web not only knows you’re a dog, but your breed and favorite fire hydrant as well. Woof.
